A rough week.
I don't always know to what degree I should reveal the man behind the curtain. Conventional wisdom says that in art it's best to pretend everything is deliberate and perfect and that a product is exactly what it's meant to be. Well I've no poker face for that.
The good news is I hear from other web-comickers that the artists story is as important to the reader as the comic itself. I don't know how true that is. But I'm going to use it as an excuse to err on the side of showing too much of the a fore mentioned man behind the curtain.
So this week's page was a brutal one and it had no right to be. It's silent, so there's no speech bubble drama to deal with. But I worked and reworked this layout, for so long in fact that I only had three days to handle the actual artwork. Needless to say I'd probably have done things differently if I hadn't time-boxed myself so poorly.
